Keeping it real during the busy summer season

This summer has been a busy, fun mix of lots of things and as per usual it was anything but "usual"
I don't want to get started on this whole new dilemma about Kilian  here as there has already been far too much posted/printed/said about his "call for assistance" last week. This dude lives and breathes in an entirely different world than you or I and I for one think he should keep on running and trying new things. Pushing the envelope so to speak - even if does get him into a jam every now and again. You can't expect or ask someone with the talent he has and even more so his untapped potential. Just go for it dude you're on the right track - one that is you're very own unique one.

That rant over with, I am looking forward to the next couple of weeks which have me spending another fair amount of time around Cham before heading into Switzerland for a final week week of alpine guiding. It has been an amazing summer thus far with ascents in Germany, Italy, Switzerland and France. I think I have covered pretty much all the main alpine hubs give or take and really enjoyed it.
I have posted a few photos below to share some of the experiences.

Until the next issue...

Longest runs of the eastern Alps

Well everyone knows how good the skiing is in places like Chamonix, La Grave, Alagna and many places found on the western side of the Alps, how many of you realize the potential of those "smaller" mountains located in Germany and Austria?

I can for sure say I didn't realize just how good things were here until I moved here. High quality runs of nearly 2000m vertical drop can be had here. Yes, that's a lot of vertical and the highest peak in Germany isn't even 3000m high! And I am still discovering lines all the time.

Thus far my favorite line has been the Neue Welt off the summit of the Zugspitze. Here are some pics from today's episode.
Details below

Ski Bumming

I don't think 2013 could have gotten off to a better start. So far, I've been skiing in the Dolomites, St Anton, Chamonix and back to the Dolomites. All in the last 3 weeks.
I'm not going to say much other than have a look at a few of the pics...
